Day 57,58,59 60.

Living Lo Vito Capo.
Day 57, Wed 26th May.
Day 58, Thursday 27th May.
Day 59, Friday 28th May.
Day 60, Saturday 29th May.

We have a lot more to see but with Palermo enough is enough and need to get away.
San Vito Lo Capo is on a peninsular on the far western tip of Sicilia and what a delight.
Camping Pineta, on the outskirts of town, is an immaculate campsite, with lots of shade and facilities.
A shop, restaurant, two great swimming pools and a short walk from a pristine sandy beach facing a turquoise lagoon.
The beach is dog friendly and Molly acquires lots of new admirers. While being generally adored by three older Italian ladies on the beach she expressed her appreciation by regurgitating a load of seawater all over their beach towels. (I blame the parents). Unperturbed they disappeared for 20 minuets and retuned with a bucket of fresh water for her.
During the four days we;
Enjoy warm sand lying on our backs, watching banks of broiling white cloud form overhead from a clear blue sky.
Find a tiny sandy beach on a deserted rocky shore where we swim naked in the wild surf. By the time we emerged from the sea it wasn’t quite as deserted, but we were well hidden by the rocks.
Had a fabulous dinner in the local Michelin starred restaurant.
A sublime late evening walk on the edge of the sea produced one of those ‘moments’. As the light faded we looked back along the beach, Andy’s footprints had been washed away leaving only mine. I caught my breath with a sudden flash of how empty the last 20 years would have been without my turtledove. I realized it doesn’t matter where you are in this world as long as you can snuggle with the one you love.

Molly and me, down in the sea.
Molly protecting Andys modesty!
Our long suffering automobile enjoying the view.
